Government First Grade College, Dharwad Library was established on 24^th June 2006, in a small classroom in the old building of Vidyabhavan, Near State Bank of India Main branch Dharwad. It is growing in a very drastic manner with providing current and updated knowledge to its user community of the college. Later Library was shifted to the own building in Kumareshwar Nagar P B Road, Near New KSRTC Bus Stand, Dharwad. The total college building has a carpet area of 2.9 acres, Library has 782 sq ft of area, and has all facilities serving to student’s faculty members and researchers. At present it has 22390 Books collection. At a time 50 readers can accommodate for reference, the library is aptly named as KNOWLEDGE CENTRE”.

Resources :In order to have smooth and easy access to library collection according to subject and Dewey decimal classification is (DDC) scheme has been used for systematic organization of the resources. A good collection of CD ROMs in various subjects is also available for access. Library is subscribing Journals and Magazine and Newspapers for the users, for current and up to date knowledge, and for the research, teaching and learning process. Library also subscribed electronic journals through UGC-Infonet Digital Library Consortium and also UGC N-List. One of the special features of this library is to attract more and more readers in providing actual required information from every nook and corner of the information hub.
